Ma volt nálam a pánikbeteg hölgy, igaz, az unokáját kezeltem. De lassan tényleg igazságtalan így emlegetni őt. Már két hete nem kapott kezelést, mert szabadságon volt, de jól van. Ahogy bejött a kezelőhelyre, észrevette, hogy belülről nincs kilincs. (Hát igen, ez egy hosszú történet, de jelenleg kilincs nélkül kell megoldani az ajtónyitást...) Ekkor látszott rajta, hogy megijedt, és kérte, hogy nyissam ki, csak akkor nyugodott meg, amikor látta, hogy ez gond nélkül megy. Klausztrofóbiája is volt egész életében. Amíg az unokáját kezeltem, ő is becsukta a szemét és ellazult. Utána boldogan újságolta, hogy meg tudta magát nyugtatni a bezártság-helyzettel kapcsolatban. Neki ez nagy élmény!
Később az a hölgy jött, akit gerincproblémákkal kezeltem, és aki a múltkor mesélte, hogy mellékesen a vérnyomása is egészségesebb lett. Most azt mondta, teljesen eltűnt már az a feszítő fájdalom a derekából, ami miatt már sokszor el sem mert indulni otthonról a kezelések előtti egy évben. Pedig ő is egyszer volt csak nálam június eleje óta, de így sem tért vissza ez a fájdalom. Ez azért elég nagy változás az életminőségben. :)
I had the panicky lady seeing me today, although I was treating her grandchild this time. It may be unfair to keep referring to her like that now, however. She's not been given a treatment for the last two weeks as she's been away on vacation, but she's still doing all right. As she entered the treatment room, she noticed the door had no handle on the inside. (Yup, that's a long story: for now, the door has to be opened without a handle from inside...) She seemed anxious and asked me to open it and only when she saw I could do it with no problem did she stop worrying. She's had claustrophobia, too, all her life. While I was treating her grandchild she closed her eyes and relaxed. She then told me happily she'd managed to calm herself down with regards to the confinement situation. To her, it's a great experience!
Later, I treated the lady with the back problem who said last time that her blood pressure had got healthier. This time, she related that the pain in her lower back that prevented her from leaving home many times in the year prior to the treatments was now completely gone. This is despite the fact that she's also come to me only once since early June, but the pain has not returned nonetheless. That's a pretty big improvement in life quality. :)
